Deer Hair Flare

The DHF is an innovative fly material made of a synthetic polymer designed to be added to any predator style streamer hook or shank to create realistic baitfish fly patterns for Musky, Pike, Bass, Trout and other predator type gamefish in fresh or saltwater.

Once added to a hook or shank(s), the DHF will allow tiers to easily support any hair natural or synthetic, to create a fly with plenty of volume and a baitfish shape without too much weight and will hold its shape wet or dry. The DHF makes flaring hair easy.

A slit is incorporated into the cone design and allows the cone to be added anywhere on the hook or shank by lashing with tying thread. The slit lets tiers jump their thread through the cone and continue tying without cutting and retying thread.

Simple to use and reduces tying steps & time while tying large predator fly patterns.

Cone will fit over most hooks and shank eyes.

​

Multiple cones can be used on any hook or shank.

​

Once added, the cone will extend 9-10mm above and below the shank and allows use on multiple hook and shank sizes.
